Fuel Injectors (Using DVOM)

NOTE: For fuel injector circuit testing, see DTCs P0201-P0206: INJECTORS NO. 1-6 CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - SEBRING COUPE & STRATUS COUPE - 3.0L article.
NOTE: Listen to injectors during cranking and at idle. They should make ticking sound. Frequency of sound should increase as engine speed increases.

To test left bank injectors (No. 2, 4 and 6), disconnect fuel injector 2-pin electrical connector. Measure resistance between injector terminals. Resistance should be 13-16 ohms at 68°F (20°C). If resistance is not as specified, replace fuel injector.

To test right bank injectors (No. 1, 3 and 5), disconnect 4-pin fuel injector intermediate harness connector B-118. Measure resistance between intermediate harness connector B-118 (injector side) terminals No. 1 and 2 (injector No. 1), No. 1 and 3 (injector No. 3) and No. 1 and 4 (injector No. 5). Resistance should be 13-16 ohms at 68°F (20°C). If resistance is not as specified, replace fuel injector.
