Crankshaft Position Sensor

On 2.4L, the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is located on side of cylinder block, just above oil filter. On 2.7L, the CKP sensor is located on the rear of the transaxle housing, above the differential housing. On all models, individual component testing is not available from manufacturer. If CKP sensor or wiring circuit failure exists, a DTC will be stored in the powertrain control module.
