Rear Suspension: Description: Spindle

A forged rear spindle is mounted to each side of the rear suspension axle. Each spindle attaches to the axle using 4 mounting bolts. The 4 mounting bolts also mount the drum brake support plate (drum brakes) or disc brake adapter (disc brake) to the axle. The hub bearing rides on the spindle.
