Any CCD Cluster Light Inoperative

Possible Causes:

  1. Instrument Cluster Communications
  2. Defective Bulb Or Socket
  3. Instrument Cluster

Testing

  1. Turn ignition off. Push and hold trip/odometer reset button while turning ignition switch to RUN position. Release trip/odometer reset button to start self-test. Observe suspect indicator. If suspect indicator does not illuminate, go to next step. If suspect indicator illuminates, go to step  3 .
  2. Using scan tool, select ELECTRO/MECH CLUSTER. If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE, go to NO RESPONSE FROM INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under COMMUNICATIONS. If scan tool does not display NO RESPONSE, go to next step.
  3. Remove and inspect suspect indicator and socket. Replace as necessary. If socket and indicator are okay, replace Electro-Mechanical Instrument Cluster (EMIC). See ELECTRO-MECHANICAL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
