Water Pump Inlet Tube: Removal
- Drain the cooling system. (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE ).
- Remove the radiator upper hose to access the hose connections at the inlet tube.
- Remove the intake manifold. (Refer to 2.0L SOHC 4-CYLINDER ).
- Remove the radiator lower hose and heater hose from the inlet tube.
- Remove the lower intake manifold support bracket.
- Remove the inlet tube to the block fasteners.
- Rotate tube while removing the tube from the engine block. (Figure).
CAUTION:
DO NOT use any sharp tools to remove hoses from inlet tube. This may cause the tube to leak.
