Fuel gauge sending unit may also be referred to as fuel level sensor. Fuel level sensor voltage is monitored with ignition on, and battery voltage greater than 10.4 volts. DTC P0462 will set if the fuel level sensor signal voltage goes below 0.1961 volt at the PCM for more than 5 seconds. DTC P0463 will set if the fuel level sensor signal voltage goes above 4.7 volts at the PCM for more than 5 seconds.
