DTC P0850: Park/Neutral Switch Performance: Notes

NOTE: Vehicles are equipped with a Transmission Range (TR) sensor. TR sensor may also be referred to as Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch. If a component fails, PCM may use substitute value in its calculations to continue engine operation. In this condition, commonly known as limp-in mode, vehicle runs but driveability will not be optimum. TR sensor circuit is monitored when transaxle is in Park, Neutral or Drive and vehicle is not in limp-in mode.
NOTE: For circuit reference, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and/or WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
NOTE: Always perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER-5  after repair is completed.
