Transmission Range Sensor

PCM uses input signals from Transmission Range (TR) sensor to determine selected gear position, shift pattern and transmission fluid temperature. TR sensor harness connector is located on left side of transaxle. See Fig 1. TR sensor is also used to activate starter relay, back-up lights and prevent starter engagement in any gear except Park or Neutral.
