Removal & Installation

  1. The TCM is located in driver's front corner of vehicle, behind left front wheelwell, behind left front headlight. See Figure . Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle.
  2. Remove left front tire/wheel. Pull back inner wheelwell to access TCM. Loosen retaining bolt and remove TCM connector. Remove 3 bolts attaching TCM to vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten TCM retaining bolts to 30 INCH lbs. (3 N.m).
