Incomplete Latch Release - No Current

NOTE: This DTC will only set after door cinch operation after 4-second time-out function. Conditions to set DTC may be difficult to reproduce. This code may also set if release switch is operated too many times in a row.
NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Using scan tool, record and erase DTCs. Turn ignition off. Wait 10 seconds. Turn ignition on. Operate power liftgate several times if possible. Recheck for DTCs. If INCOMPLETE LATCH RELEASE - NO CURRENT resets, go to next step. If INCOMPLETE LATCH RELEASE - NO CURRENT does not reset, system is operating properly at this time. Check for intermittent poor connections or faulty circuits.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Power Liftgate Module (PLGM) connector C2. See Figure . To access connector, left rear trim will need to be removed. See POWER LIFTGATE MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DVOM, measure resistance between PLGM connector C2 terminals No. 8 (Tan/Gray wire) and No. 9 (Tan/White wire). See Figure . If resistance is 2 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 2 ohms, go to step  5 .
  3. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and PLGM connector C2 terminal No. 8 (Tan/Gray wire). If resistance is greater than 100 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 100 ohms or less, check for short to ground in Tan/Gray wire between PLGM and liftgate cinch/release motor. Also check for short to ground in Tan/White wire between PLGM and liftgate cinch/release motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS in POWER SLIDING DOORS & LIFTGATE - CARAVAN, TOWN & COUNTRY, & VOYAGER article. Repair wiring as necessary. If wiring is okay, replace shorted liftgate cinch/release motor.
  4. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and PLGM connector C2 terminal No. 9 (Tan/White wire). If resistance is greater than 100 ohms, replace PLGM. If resistance is 100 ohms or less, check for short to ground in Tan/White wire between PLGM and liftgate cinch/release motor. Also check for short to ground in Tan/Gray wire between PLGM and liftgate cinch/release motor. Repair wiring as necessary. If wiring is okay, replace shorted liftgate cinch/release motor.
  5. Turn ignition off. Disconnect liftgate cinch/release motor connector. See Figure . To access connector, door panel will need to be removed. For removal and installation procedures, see POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Tan/Gray wire between PLGM connector C2 terminal No. 8 and liftgate cinch/release motor connector terminal No. 6. Wiggle wiring harness with DVOM connected. If resistance is steady at 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms or varies, repair open in Tan/Gray wire between liftgate cinch/release motor and PLGM.
  6. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Tan/White wire between PLGM connector C2 terminal No. 9 and liftgate cinch/release motor connector terminal No. 5. Wiggle wiring harness with DVOM connected. If resistance is steady at 5 ohms or less, replace liftgate cinch/release motor. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms or varies, repair open in Tan/White wire between liftgate cinch/release motor and PLGM.
