High Beam Indicator Not Operating Properly

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Perform self-test on instrument cluster. Press and hold TRIP/RESET button and turn ignition on. If high beam indicator does not turn on for 4 seconds then turn off, go to step  3 . If high beam indicator turns on for 4 seconds then turns off, go to next step.
  2. Turn headlights on. Turn on high beams. If high beams do not operate properly, diagnose exterior lighting first. See HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS WILL NOT TURN ON  under EXTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEMS. If high beams operate normally, go to next step.
  3. Remove and inspect instrument cluster high beam indicator bulb. If high beam indicator is burnt out, replace high beam indicator bulb. If high beam indicator bulb is okay, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
