VTSS Will Not Arm

  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, ensure THEFT ALARM is enabled. If THEFT ALARM is not enabled, use scan tool to enable system and retest. If THEFT ALARM is enabled, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, read active DTCs in VTSS system. If any DTCs are present, diagnose by symptom. See SYMPTOM IDENTIFICATION  table SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If no DTCs are present, replace body control module.
