Coil Spring: Installation

  1. Install isolator onto coil springs by wrapping rubber fingers around coil. Turn isolators until rubber abutment butts up against flat end of coil spring. Place coil springs on top of axle spring perches. In order to properly orient coil springs, turn coil springs (along with isolators) until ends of upper coil springs are as outboard as possible. See Fig 1 . Ensure that imaginary line between end of each upper spring coil is parallel with axle.
  2. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. When installing bell crank, ensure that it is properly oriented according to inscription, and bolt is installed from front. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
