Controller Failure

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect CAB connector. Measure resistance of ground circuits. If resistance is less than 1.0 ohm, go to next step. If resistance is more than 1.0 ohm, repair open in ground circuit. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
  2. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage drop across CAB ground circuit connection with pump motor running. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is more than .10 volts, repair ground circuit poor connection. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. If voltage is less than .10 volts, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect CAB connector. Turn ignition on. Turn on all accessories. Measure voltage of ground circuit. If voltage is less than 1.0 volts, go to next step. If voltage is more than 1.0 volts, repair as necessary. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
  4. If there are no potential causes remaining, replace CAB. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
