A/C Condenser: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Dodge Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Concorde, and 2002 Chrysler 300M. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the auxiliary transmission cooler in the same position on the condenser with new retaining straps. Install the condenser in the vehicle. Install the 2 screws retaining the condenser to the radiator. Tighten the screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Connect the liquid line to the condenser inlet. Tighten the retaining nut.
  2. Connect the discharge line to the condenser outlet. Tighten the retaining nut. Install the retainer bracket and screw for the auxiliary transmission cooler lines. Connect the auxiliary transmission cooler hose fittings. Install the upper radiator core support.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable remote terminal to the remote battery post. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING.
