Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS)

VTSS is armed by locking the vehicle using the door lock switch, door lock key or Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter when all doors are closed. The VTSS LED located on top of instrument panel will flash quickly for 16 seconds indicating the system is arming. After 16 seconds, the LED should flash slower to indicate the system is fully armed. If LED comes on, but does not flash, the system is still armed, but there is a problem with the hood and/or trunk circuit.

VTSS is disarmed through normal vehicle entry by unlocking door with key or RKE system. Whenever battery power is lost or disconnected, VTSS will prevent vehicle from starting. When battery power is restored, system must be disarmed before vehicle will start.

VTSS can be triggered from doors, trunk key cylinder and ignition switch. VTSS is equipped with a tamper alert signal, indicating VTSS has been triggered (vehicle has been tampered with). When either front door is unlocked with key or RKE, the horn will sound 3 times.
