Rear Wiper Not Parking In Off Position
- Turn ignition on. Ensure rear wiper switch is in OFF position. If any switch indicator light is illuminated, replace Heating/Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) module. If all switch indicator lights are off, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, select BODY, then HVAC and monitor rear wiper switch. If scan tool displays OFF for all switches, go to step 5 . If scan tool does not display OFF for all switches, replace HVAC module.
- Disconnect rear wiper motor connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Brown/Light Green wire) at rear wiper motor connector. If any voltage is present, go to next step. If no voltage is present, replace rear wiper motor.
- Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector "B". BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure . Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 49 (Brown/Light Green wire) at BCM connector "B". See Figure . If no voltage is present, go to next step. If any voltage is present, repair short to voltage in Brown/Light Green wire between BCM and rear wiper motor.
- Disconnect rear wiper motor connector. Reconnect BCM connector "B". Connect a test light between ground and terminal No. 3 (Brown/Light Green wire) at rear wiper motor connector. Turn rear wiper switch to intermittent position. Monitor test light for 30 seconds (minimum). If test light cycles on, and then off, replace rear wiper motor. If test light does not illuminate, replace BCM.
