High Beam Indicator Light

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition on. Turn high beam headlights on. Ensure turn signals are off. If high beam headlights do not illuminate, go to HEADLIGHTS WILL NOT TURN ON  under EXTERIOR LIGHTING. If high beam headlights illuminate, go to next step.
  2. Remove ignition key. Turn off all lights and accessories. Close all doors. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 3 (Black wire) at information center 13-pin connector. See Figure . If resistance is 10 ohms or more, repair open in Black wire (ground circuit). If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect information center 13-pin connector. Remove and inspect high beam indicator light bulb. Replace bulb as necessary. If bulb is okay, go to next step.
  4. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Red/Orange wire) at information center 13-pin connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open in Red/Orange wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace information center.
