No Response From Radio

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. If radio screen is not blank, go to step  7 . If radio screen is blank, go to next step.
  2. Remove and inspect fuse No. 8 (RADIO) in junction block, located under driver's side of instrument panel. If fuse is blown, go to next step. If fuse is okay, go to step  4 .
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect radio Gray connector C1. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 6 (Red/White wire) at radio connector C1. See Fig 1 . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Red/White. Replace fuse No. 8 in junction block. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, replace radio. Replace fuse No. 8 in junction block.
  4. Inspect radio ground strap and antenna for correct installation. Repair as necessary. If ground strap and antenna are okay, go to next step.
  5. Install fuse. Disconnect radio Gray connector C1. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Red/White wire) at radio C1 connector. SeeFig 1 . If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open in Red/White wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  6. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 7 (Pink wire) at radio connector C1. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open in Pink wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace radio.
  7. Disconnect CCD bus 2-pin connector from back of radio. Connect one end of a jumper wire to ground. Using other end of jumper wire, backprobe terminal No. 2 (White/Black wire) at CCD bus connector. Using scan tool, select BODY, BODY COMPUTER, then SYSTEM TEST. Perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, repair open in White/Black wire. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, go to next step.
  8. Disconnect jumper wire from terminal No. 2 and reconnect jumper wire to terminal No. 1 (Violet/Brown wire) at CCD bus connector. Perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, repair open in Violet/Brown wire. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, replace radio.
