Power Transfer Unit (AWD Models)

Raise and support vehicle. Remove power transfer unit inspection plug. Using suction gun, remove fluid from power transfer unit. See Fig 1 . To fill, add 1.22 qts. (1.15L) of multipurpose SAE 80W-90/API gear oil meeting API specification GL-5. Install inspection plug and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
