Wipers Run At High Speed With Switch In Low Position Or Wipers Operate With Switch In Intermittent Position, But Each Wipe Is At High Speed

  1. Disconnect wiper motor connector. Connect a jumper wire between positive battery terminal and wiper motor terminal "B". Connect a second jumper wire between ground and wiper motor terminal "C". See Figure . If motor runs at low speed, go to next step. If motor runs at high speed, replace wiper motor. See WIPER MOTOR & LINKAGE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Check for faulty high/low wiper relay. Check for crossed wires in harness from high/low wiper relay and wiper motor. Disconnect BCM Black 14-pin connector C1. See Figure . Remove intermittent wiper relay from Power Distribution Center (PDC). See Figure . Measure resistance between ground and BCM Black 14-pin connector C1 terminal No. 8 (Violet/Pink wire). See Figure . If continuity exists, repair short to ground in Violet/Pink wire. If continuity does not exist, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in BODY CONTROL MODULES - BREEZE, CIRRUS, SEBRING CONVERTIBLE & STRATUS article.
