No Termination
NOTE:
Perform body verification test after each repair. See BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
NOTE:
Ignition off during BUS test is most common cause for this trouble code.
- If ignition was off during BUS test, turn ignition on and perform body verification test. See BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS. If ignition was on during BUS test, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Access Body Control Module (BCM) 22-pin connector C3. BCM is connected to junction block. Do not disconnect connector. Using a jumper wire connected to ground, backprobe BCM 22-pin connector C3 terminal No. 1 (Violet/Brown wire). See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . Using scan tool, select BODY, BODY COMPUTER, SYSTEM TEST and perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, go to next step. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, repair open in Violet/Brown wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Move jumper wire to BCM 22-pin connector C3 terminal No. 11 (White/Dark Blue wire). Perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, go to next step. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, repair open in White/Dark Blue wire.NOTE: The resistance measurement in next 2 steps are performed at BCM connector terminals on BCM and not at BCM connectors.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect scan tool from DLC. Disconnect BCM from junction block. Using DVOM, measure resistance between BCM 22-pin connector C3 CCD BUS (+) and (-) terminals. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . If resistance is 100-140 ohms on all circuits, go to next step. If resistance is not 100-140 ohms on all circuits, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Measure resistance between BCM 14-pin connector C1 CCD BUS (+) and (-) terminals. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . If resistance is not 100-140 ohms on all circuits, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is 100-140 ohms on all circuits, replace scan tool communication cable or scan tool.
