Wipers Not Working In Intermittent Mode (Sebring Convertible)

  1. Connect scan tool to DLC. DLC is located above hood release handle on driver's kick panel. Select BODY CONTROL MODULE on scan tool. If scan tool operates properly, go to next step. If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE, go to BATTERY POWER TO MODULE DISCONNECT; IGNITION VOLTAGE TOO LOW; NO RESPONSE FROM BCM (BAT PWR DISCON'D); BATTERY POWER TO MODULE  under COMMUNICATIONS.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, observe wiper voltage while moving stalk switch through all intermittent wiper positions. If voltage changes proportionally to wiper switch position, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If voltage does not change, replace multifunction switch. See appropriate STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article.
