DTC P0460: Fuel Level Unit No Change Over Miles

NOTE: For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
NOTE: Fuel level sending unit may also be referred to as fuel level sensor. Fuel level sending unit operation is monitored when ignition is on. DTC may be stored in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) if fuel level sending unit circuit voltage at PCM does not change a calibrated amount over a calculated number of miles. Possible causes for DTC to be set are: defective fuel level sending unit, or defective connectors or wiring.

Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE . Ensure ignition is off. Remove fuel tank. Remove fuel pump module from fuel tank. Inspect inside of tank for obstructions or dents. Repair or replace fuel tank as necessary. Perform TEST VER-2A . If tank is free of defects, replace fuel level sensor. Perform TEST VER-2A .
