Section 72 (2.7L V6 Engine): Lubrication: Operation

Oil from the oil pan is pumped by a geroter type oil pump directly coupled to the crankshaft (Fig 1). Oil pressure is controlled by a relief valve mounted inside the oil pump housing. See (Fig 1), (Fig 3), and (Fig 5) for engine oil lubrication circuits.
