WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Dodge Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Concorde, and 2002 Chrysler 300M. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST
under VERIFICATION TESTS.
Possible Causes:
- Washer Pump Motor Control Output Circuit Shorted To Voltage
- Washer Pump Switch Short To Voltage
Testing
- Turn ignition off. Ensure washer switch is in off position. Disconnect multifunction switch connector. Turn ignition on. If washer stops running when multifunction switch is disconnected, replace multifunction switch. See STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES - CONCORDE, INTREPID & 300M article. If washer continues to run when multifunction switch is disconnected, repair short to voltage in washer pump motor control output circuit (Brown wire) between multifunction switch, BCM and washer pump motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
