Intake Manifold: Installation

Clean and inspect mating surfaces. Gaskets can be reused if free from cuts or tears. On lower intake manifold, temporarily install bolt into No. 6 bolt hole of upper intake manifold. See Fig 1. Finger tighten bolt 2-3 turns. This will position lower manifold. Ensure fuel injectors and wiring harnesses are out of way. Install lower manifold bolts.
Tighten lower manifold bolts to specification and in sequence. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . See Fig 2. Remove bolt from No. 6 bolt hole of upper intake manifold. To complete installation reverse removal procedures. Tighten upper manifold bolts to specification and in correct sequence. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . See Fig 1.
