Proportioning Valve: Installation

NOTE: This procedure applies to ABS and early production Non-ABS applications. Later production Non-ABS proportioning valves are located in junction block. They are serviced as part of junction block. See appropriate article .

Loosely install brakelines onto proportioning valve. DO NOT tighten brakeline nuts at this time. Install and tighten proportioning valve-to-mounting bracket bolt/nut to specification.
Tighten brakeline-to-proportioning valve nuts and master cylinder-to-power brake booster nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
