Wheel Speed Sensor

  1. Disconnect the harness connector from the appropriate wheel speed sensor.
  2. Using a digital volt/ohmmeter, measure the resistance through the wheel speed sensor.
  3. The resistance specification should be 900-1300 ohms.
  4. Replace the sensor if the resistance is not within specifications.
  5. Using dial indicator, check tone wheel runout. It may be necessary to replace front axle shaft components if tone wheel runout exceeds .006" (.15 mm).
