Retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)

  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located under left side of dash, near steering column. Ensure there is communication with Body Control Module (BCM). If any communication problems exist, go to VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS - CONCORDE, INTREPID, LHS & 300M article.
  2. Using scan tool, select BODY SYSTEM, then BODY COMPUTER. Read DTCs. If any DTCs exist, go to appropriate test. On Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) systems, go to ATC TEST 1A: REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER MALFUNCTION  . On Manual Temperature Control (MTC) systems, go to MTC TEST 1A: EBL (DEFOGGER) SWITCH FAILURE  .
