Windshield Wiper Test 5A - Wipers Not Working In Intermittent Mode

NOTE: Perform WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Operate wipers in intermittent mode. If wiper delay times are okay, go to next step. If wiper delay times are inconsistent, reset wiper switch minimum using scan tool. Retest intermittent wiper operation.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, observe wiper voltage while moving stalk switch through all intermittent wiper positions. If voltage does not change, replace multifunction switch. Reset wiper switch minimum. If voltage does change, replace BCM. Reset wiper switch minimum.
