Heated Mirror

  1. Access power window harness connector. See POWER MIRROR ASSEMBLY  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between mirror harness connector terminal No. 2 (Black wire) and ground. Continuity should exist. Repair as necessary. Go to next step.
  2. Turn rear window defogger switch on. Check for voltage at mirror harness connector terminal No. 1 (Light Blue/Yellow wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to step 5). If voltage does not exist, check fuse No. 5 in junction block, located under driver side instrument panel. Repair as necessary. Go to next step.
  3. Check rear window defogger switch. See DEFOGGER - REAR WINDOW article. Repair as necessary. Go to next step.
  4. If battery voltage still does not exist at mirror harness connector terminal No. 1 (Light Blue/Yellow wire), repair wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  5. Remove mirror glass. Check wiring between mirror and connector. If wiring is okay, replace mirror. If wiring is bad, repair wiring, or replace mirror.
