Section 85 (HVAC Systems - Automatic): Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Dodge Intrepid and 1998 Chrysler Concorde. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system provides for manual or automatic control of passenger compartment air temperature. When automatic mode is selected, ATC system controls blower motor speed, temperature, and mode (airflow).
ATC system has self-diagnostic capabilities and will store Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in Body Control Module (BCM). DTCs can be retrieved using ATC control head or Chrysler's Diagnostic Readout Box (DRB) or scan tool. See SELF-DIAGNOSTICS .
