Self-Diagnostic Tests: Notes

CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See the COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES

NOTE:
Both Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) and a scan tool must be used to effectively diagnose this system. Before diagnosing an engine performance problem, see SELF-DIAGNOSTICS under INTRODUCTION to understand diagnostic system functions and abilities.
