Strut Assembly: Reassembly
- Install lower spring isolator on lower spring seat. Install coil spring with spring compressor attached. Ensure index marks are aligned. Install strut bearing into bearing seat with notches on bearing facing down. Install seat/bearing and dust shield aligned with index mark on spring.
- Install cushion on strut shaft. Install upper strut mount, and align paint marks. Install upper strut shaft nut. Install Strut Rod Socket (L-4558 or L-4558A) on strut shaft nut. Using a 10-mm socket, hold strut shaft while tightening strut shaft nut to specification. Loosen spring compressor evenly until spring is seated on upper strut mount and all tension is relieved from spring compressor.
