On-Vehicle Testing: Notes

CAUTION: When vehicle battery is disconnected, vehicle computer systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in the GENERAL INFORMATION section.
NOTE: ALTERNATOR OUTPUT BAT WIRE VOLTAGE TEST will show amount of voltage drop across alternator output wire between alternator BAT terminal and positive battery post. Before performing this test, ensure battery is fully charged.
