"G" Force Sensor: AWD

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Eagle Talon. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect "G" force sensor connector. Connect Test Harness Set (MB991348) between indicated terminals. See Fig 1 . Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, check voltage between "G" force sensor connector terminals No. 3 and 4. If reading is 2.3-2.7 volts, go to next step. If reading is not 2.3-2.7 volts, check wiring to "G" force sensor. Repair as necessary. If wiring is okay, replace sensor.
  2. Leaving test harness set connected, secure "G" force sensor connector so that FRONT mark on mounting surface is facing straight down. Using a voltmeter, check voltage between "G" force sensor connector terminals No. 3 and 4. If reading is 3.1-3.9 volts, sensor is okay. If reading is not 3.1-3.9 volts, check wiring to "G" force sensor. Repair as necessary. If wiring is okay, replace sensor.
