Pump/Motor Circuit

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see wiring diagram.
  1. Using scan tool, stop pump/motor actuation. Turn ignition off. Remove pump/motor relay. Inspect, clean and repair connector as necessary. Using external ohmmeter, check resistance between pump/motor relay terminals No. 30 and 87. See Fig 1. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace pump/motor relay. Perform TEST VER-1A. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on Brown/White wire at pump/motor relay connector. If any voltage is present, repair short to power in Brown/White wire. Perform TEST VER-1A. If voltage does not exist, replace CAB. Perform TEST VER-1A.
