Motor Tests

These tests will by-pass switch to determine if switch or specified motor is at fault. Remove power seat position switch and disconnect it from wiring harness. See SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. In harness connector, check pin No. 5 for battery voltage and pin No. 1 for ground. Using 2 jumper wires, connect one wire to battery supply and the other to ground. Connect other end of wires to pins as described in MOTOR TESTS AT SEAT CONNECTOR  to check seat action. See Fig 1 .

If motor still does not work, check wiring between switch connector and motor. If wiring is okay, replace motor.
