TEST 3F - Automatic Door Locks With Remote Keyless Entry

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagrams, see appropriate chassis wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS Section.
  1. Using DRB-II, stop door lock actuation test. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect remote keyless entry module connector. See Figure. Check connector condition, and clean or repair connector as necessary. Remove door lock and unlock relays. Relays are located behind right side of glove box. See Figure. Check condition of connectors, and clean or repair connectors as necessary.
  2. With DRB-II still in ohmmeter mode, probe Orange/Black wire at door lock relay connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Orange/Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 . If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace door lock relay. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .
