TEST 3E - Automatic Door Locks With Remote Keyless Entry
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagrams, see appropriate chassis wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS Section.
- Ensure DRB-II door lock actuation test is still active. Gain access to power door lock relays. Relays are located behind right side of glove box. See Figure. Backprobe Orange/White wire of door lock relay. If voltage does not pulsate between 0 and 12 volts, repair open in Orange/White wire between body controller and door lock relay. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .
- If voltage pulsates between 0 and 12 volts, backprobe Black wire of door lock relay. If voltage pulsates between 0 and 12 volts, repair open Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 . If voltage does not pulsate between 0 and 12 volts, backprobe Red wire of door lock relay. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair Red wire as necessary.
- If voltage is more than 10 volts, backprobe Orange/Black wire at door lock relay. Ensure DRB-II door lock actuation test is still active. If voltage does not pulsate between 0 and 12 volts, perform TEST 3F . If voltage pulsates between 0 and 12 volts, remove door unlock relay. Check connector condition, and clean or repair connector as necessary.
- Probe Pink/Black wire at door unlock relay connector. If voltage does not pulsate between 0 and 12 volts, repair open Orange/Black or Pink/Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 . If voltage pulsates between 0 and 12 volts, using DRB-II, stop door lock actuation test. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Put DRB-II in ohmmeter mode. Probe Black wire of door unlock relay connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace door unlock relay. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 . If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .
