Brush Holder Test

When testing brushes and brush springs, ensure brushes move smoothly in brush holder. Sticking brushes require replacement of brush holder assembly. Using an ohmmeter, touch one test lead to inner brush and other test lead to field terminal. One lead should show no continuity and other should show continuity. Repeat procedure on outer brush. If brush holder does not test as specified, replace brush holder.
