Speedometer Circuit Test

  1. Distance sensor should be checked of distance sensor fault code and proper speed indication. See G - TEST W/CODES - 3.3L in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
  2. Remove speedometer. With ignition on, check battery voltage across (B+) and ground pin. See Fig 1 .
  3. Check for continuity between distance sensor input pin and connector of distance sensor (mounted in transaxle). If voltage existed and all wiring was good, replace speedometer.
