Anti-Theft System: Operation

Anti-theft system is armed when ignition switch key is removed and doors are locked using the power door lock switch. To verify system activation, the SECURITY ALARM light on the instrument panel will flash for 15 seconds. If the SECURITY ALARM light remains on, the hood, deck lid or doors are not properly closed.

If forced entry is attempted, alarm warning system will trip, causing fuel system to be disabled, horn to sound and exterior lights to flash for 18 minutes (horn will sound for 3 minutes). System is disarmed by unlocking either front door with key or by turning ignition on.
