Control Relay Test

  1. Remove control relay from left cowling. Ground terminal No. 4. Apply battery voltage to terminal No. 2. Using a DVOM, check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and 3 of relay. See Figure . There should be continuity.
  2. Remove battery voltage from terminal No. 2. Remove ground wire from terminal No. 4. Check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and 3. There should be no continuity. Check for continuity between terminals No. 2 and 4. Continuity should be present. If DVOM reads incorrectly, replace control relay.
