Removal & Installation: Precautions

Before opening fuel lines to remove fuel system components, system pressure must be relieved. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE under FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE TESTING .
It is not necessary to remove throttle body from intake manifold to remove component parts.
If fuel hoses are to be replaced, only hose marked EFI/EFM may be used. Always use NEW hose clamps of same type as original equipment. DO NOT use aviation style hose clamps as hose damage will occur.
Always reassemble throttle body components with new gaskets, seals and "O" rings where applicable.
