FWD Vehicles

  1. It is recommended that vehicles be towed from the front whenever possible. When lifting from the front, ensure spoilers are not damaged. If spoiler cannot be avoided, a dolly or flatbed trailer will have to be used.
  2. When towing from the rear, manual transaxle equipped vehicles may be towed at speeds up to 30 MPH for 15 miles. Automatic transaxle equipped vehicles may be towed at speeds up to 25 MPH for 15 miles. Place front wheels on a dolly in all other towing situations.
  3. Automatic transaxle equipped vehicles may not be flat-towed behind another vehicle. Manual transaxle equipped vehicles may be flat-towed with transaxle in Neutral and parking brake released.
  4. Charger, Horizon, Omni and Turismo models may not be towed from the rear with conventional sling-type equipment because the quarter panels may be damaged when rear of vehicle is lifted. Do not attach hooks to front brake strut, torsion bar, sway bar, or shock absorbers.
