Purge Solenoid

Purge solenoid is in solenoid bank and can be identified by Black dot. If engine temperature is below 145°F (61°C), logic module energizes purge solenoid by providing ground circuit. This keeps vacuum from charcoal canister valve. When purge solenoid ground is removed, vacuum flows to canister purge valve and fuel vapors are removed through throttle body.
