Alternator - BOSCH 90-Amp: Overhaul: Disassembly

  1. Remove pulley nut, washer and Poly-Vee pulley. Remove pulley spacer and fan. Remove key from rotor shaft. Disconnect capacity terminal. Remove capacitor mounting screws and remove capacitor. Remove brush holder assembly.
    CAUTION: Stator is laminated, DO NOT  burr stator or end shield.
  2. Remove through bolts. Separate drive end shield from stator. Press rotor from drive end shield. Remove spacer. Remove fan spacer. Remove 4 front bearing screws and remove retainer. Press out bearing from drive end shield.
  3. Remove rear bearing oil and dust seal. Using Bearing Removal Tool (C-4068 and C-4333), remove bearing room rotor.
