Charge Temperature Switch

The charge temperature switch is located in the No. 8 intake port, on the intake manifold. When intake airflow temperature is less than 60°F (15°C), the charge temperature switch is closed. This prevents the EGR timer and the EGR valve from operating. It also switches the air injection to upstream into the exhaust manifold.
